The Admissions Summer Intern serves as the frontline of communication and makes the first impression with prospective students and families. The goal of this position is to assist with the total customer service efforts of the Undergraduate Admissions Office.. The Admissions Summer Intern is a major stakeholder in the guests’ campus experience and supporting the counseling staff in constituent relationship development.

 

Job Responsibilities

 

Primary

• Lead tours of the East and West campuses 1-2 times per day
• Manage the admissions email system
  • Answer emails and/or route emails to the appropriate person for follow through
  • Be thorough, articulate and timely with responses and information given
• Oversee External Web Content
  • Flickr, Zinch, etc.

 

Secondary

• Assist with welcome center operations
• Provide support to the Admissions Processing Center
  • Updates application files
  • Input inquiries and other data entry
  • Assemble packages and mailings

 

Supplemental

• Complete special projects and marketing research
  • Collaboratively contribute to and edit APU marketing brochures
  • Develop e-communication campaigns for CRM
  • Discover, download and deliver timely marketing research regarding admissions marketing issues and current student trends
• Other projects as assigned by supervisor

Time Commitment

• Approx. 40 hours per week, as required by projects/job responsibilities
• Some Evening/Weekend events on and off campus may be required

 

Compensation Structure

• Hourly wage; commensurate based on experience
• Limited, non-paid vacation hours are flexible upon agreement with supervisor
