Q & A with Alicia...

How has APU transformed you?
God has used APU to transform me in a number of ways. There are so many individuals and opportunities that He has used to shape and mold me, and He is continuing to refresh my spirit through the individuals He brings to this place. I have walked away from four years at APU with a better understanding of community, a sense of boldness, and a stronger desire to please God in all ways. I thank God that out of all the settings He could have used, He chose APU.
Which activities at APU have you most enjoyed being a part of?
I loved my experiences and the relationships I developed through Alpha, Black Student Awareness (BSA), UMOJA, Alpha Kappa Psi, and my on-campus job!
What advice would you give to prospective students?
Enter your college experience with an open mind and GET INVOLVED! There are SO many clubs, organizations, internships, small groups, and intramurals that you can be a part of. Don’t let your time at APU pass you by without good memories. You won’t find another experience in life like college so be sure to make it a good one!
How do you spend your free time?
I love driving in the morning when the sun is rising, having a good conversation with a friend over a meal or coffee, exploring God’s word, hitting the gym, and movie nights.
