Spiritual Development

Azusa Pacific University is committed to the spiritual development of every student. This mission is carried out through the involvement of students in four areas of emphases: chapel, discipleship, student ministries, and community service projects.

Ministry Opportunities: Reaching Out

APU's Office of Ministry and Service offers several opportunities for ministry, designed to teach students the importance of serving others and impacting their community. Some of these opportunities include: tutoring children at Azusa's Neighborhood Homework Houses; caring for children after school at the Peach Factory; urban ministries through organizations such as the Oasis of Hollywood; mentoring children through Walking with Azusa's Youth (W.A.Y.), Gateway Ministry, Young Life, Best Buddies International; and celebrating the arts with members of the community at the Azusa Renaissance Center.
