University Projects in Progress
University Fund
APU’s University Fund helps provide and underwrite much-needed scholarships for undergraduate students. Nearly 83 percent of APU students depend on this institutional financial aid in order to make an APU education possible. The fund also serves as a barometer to many foundations, corporations, and individuals (who monitor annual current giving) as to the level of support given from those closest to the university (i.e., alumni, trustees, etc.). The University Fund depends on alumni, parents, and friends to provide consistent annual donations, and each, regardless of size, is greatly needed and appreciated. Every year, these generous benefactors become members of APU’s recognition program, the President’s Circle, which is comprised of individuals who make annual gifts of $1,000 or more.
Each year, the Board of Trustees, based on the recommendation of the advancement committee, establishes the University Fund goal. This year’s goal is $2.1 million. For more information on how you can become a friend of the university through giving to the University Fund, please contact the Office of University Advancement at (626) 815-5333 for more information.
Endowments
To keep tuition affordable while maintaining academic excellence and state-of-the-art facilities, Azusa Pacific University seeks to increase its endowment. The endowment contains general funds and funds established for scholarships, professorships (endowed chairs), building renovation and construction, special programs, university departments, and outreach ministries. Currently, unless otherwise specified by the terms of the endowed fund, APU reinvests interest earned by the fund back into the fund. In the future, APU will be able to take a portion of the interest earned and use it for university projects.
