I am delighted to focus on enlarging the university’s circle of friends through a series of vision briefings, forums, concerts, and receptions. Working closely with the provost and deans, I cultivate new opportunities to promote the scholarly contributions and pursuits of APU faculty, staff, and students, while enhancing the university’s stature in the wider community. One initiative I am excited about is the opportunity to develop a network of national and international thought-leaders from diverse areas of experience and expertise who will provide strategic insights for the APU president and senior leaders as we look to the future.
Andrea’s career spans work within higher education, K-12, and nonprofit sectors including senior administrative positions at UCLA, Claremont Graduate University, Gordon College, University of Hawaii, Communities in Schools, and InterVarsity. In 2007, she returned to APU where she previously served as dean of instruction and co-founder and chair of the graduate program in College Student Affairs, now College Counseling and Student Development.
