The Rivalry: APU vs. Biola
You walk up to the event center and hear chanting and screaming before you even enter through the doors. “You wish you were a Cougar! Azusa, Azusa! You wish you were a Cougar! Azusa, Azusa!”
In you go, and all you can see is a sea of black shirts and a packed house. The opponent: Biola, the school to beat. With hearts bleeding Cougar brick and black and our Cougar mascot getting the crowd loud, there is no way we can be beat.
The APU vs. Biola rivalry has been going on since the beginning of time (well, since Biola was founded in 1908). For some reason, victory never tastes as sweet as after a win against the Eagles. Athletics have always been a huge part of APU’s history, and we continue to develop more athletes with a heart set on Christ and a strength that is undeniable.
When Biola steps foot on campus (or vice-versa), the community begins to get pumped up for the big match. Donning Blackout T-shirts and with Cougar claws raised high in the air, the community comes together to show support for and undying devotion to the school we love.
