Congratulations APU Cheer Squad!

It only took 2 minutes and 15 seconds, but last weekend, 25 APU cheerleaders outshined competing schools to become the Universal Cheerleaders Association’s West Coast Champions. The cheer squad performed in the West Coast Championships in Hollywood on March 3, taking first place from among many top competitors, including the University of Southern California and California State University Chico, who took second and third, respectively.

The squad’s next step is the National Competition in Daytona Beach, Florida, where they will compete against 20 colleges in their division, with 75 total teams vying for the national title. The competition, to be held April 5-6, marks APU’s first visit to nationals. Be sure to cheer them on!
