GRE Training Workshops Available this Fall
September 5, 2008

Attention APU students interested in graduate school! The university's Pew College Society offers two great opportunities this fall designed to prepare students to take the Graduate Record Examination (GRE), which is required for admission to many graduate programs nationwide.

Free Two-Part GRE Workshop:

This free two-part seminar is open to everyone and taught by an instructor from The Princeton Review, one of the nation's leaders in standardized test preparation, with the highest reported score improvements on the GRE. Both sessions focus on helpful test-taking strategies.
  • Part I: Math Strategies
Monday, September 29, 7:30–9 p.m., LAPC Banquet Room, East Campus
  • Part II: Verbal Strategies
Tuesday, September 30, 7:30–9 p.m., North Upper Turner Campus Center, East Campus
The first 50 people who sign up for the workshop will receive Graduate School Companion/Graduate School Admissions Guide, a free book provided by The Princeton Review.

Full Princeton Review GRE Course:

The Princeton Review will also offer its more extensive seven-week GRE preparation course at APU at a significantly reduced price.

This course, which typically costs students $1,049, is available to APU students at the reduced cost of $300 per student.

The class will meet on East Campus from 1–4 p.m. on seven consecutive Saturdays, beginning October 4 and ending November 15.

To sign up for the free workshops or extended course, or for more information, contact Joseph Bentz, Ph.D., director of the Pew College Society, at jbentz@apu.edu.
