Free GRE Training Workshops at APU
September 7, 2009

Interested in Graduate School? APU’s Pew College Society offers two great opportunities this fall designed to prepare students to take the Graduate Record Examination (GRE), which is required for admission to many graduate programs nationwide.

Free Two-Part GRE Workshop:

This free seminar is open to everyone and taught by an instructor from The Princeton Review, one of the nation's leaders in standardized test preparation, with the highest reported score improvements on the GRE. Both sessions focus on helpful test-taking strategies.
  • Part I: Math Strategies
Monday, September 28, 7:30–9 p.m., LAPC Banquet Room, East Campus
  • Part II: Verbal Strategies
Tuesday, September 29, 7:30–9 p.m., LAPC Banquet Room, East Campus
A free graduate school-related book from the Princeton Review will be given to the first 50 people who sign up for this workshop.

Full Princeton Review GRE Course:

The Princeton Review will also offer its more extensive seven-week GRE preparation course at APU at a significantly reduced price. Typically costing students more than $1,000, it is available to APU students at the reduced cost of $350 per student.

The class will meet on East Campus from 1–4 p.m. on seven consecutive Saturdays, beginning October 3 and ending November 14.

To sign up for the free workshops or extended course, or for more information, contact Joseph Bentz, Ph.D., director of the Pew College Society, at jbentz@apu.edu.
