Social Work Lecture: How to Support Returning Veterans

In honor of Social Work Month, Azusa Pacific University’s Department of Social Work hosts a lecture on how to support returning veterans, with guest speaker Jose Coll, Ph.D. 

When: Thursday, March 17, 4:30—6:30 p.m. 

Where: APU’s Wyant Lecture Hall in Wilden Hall, on East Campus.

Coll is a clinical associate professor at the University of Southern California and director of the USC San Diego Academic Center. He will discuss the psycho-social and spiritual needs of returning veterans, as well as military culture and experience to help social workers and psychologists better meet the needs of this group.

This course qualifies for 2.0 continuing education hours for the following: MFTs and/or LCSWs as required by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences, Provider #845. APU’s Department of Graduate Psychology is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists.
