Free GRE Training Workshops at APU

Posted: September 16, 2011

Interested in graduate school? APU’s Pew College Society offers opportunities this fall designed to prepare students to take the Graduate Record Examination (GRE), which is required for admission to many graduate programs nationwide.

Free Two-Part GRE Workshop

This free two-part workshop is open to everyone and will be taught by an instructor from The Princeton Review, an organization that specializes in helping students improve their scores on the Graduate Record Examination (GRE).

  • Part I: Math Strategies
  • Monday, September 26, 7:30-9 p.m., LAPC Banquet Room, East Campus
  • Part II: Verbal Strategies
  • Tuesday, September 27, 7:30-9 p.m., UTCC, East Campus

A free book, 1,014 GRE Practice Questions, will be given to the first 50 poeple who sign up.

Eight-week GRE Preparation Course

The Princeton Review will also offer an extensive four-week GRE preparation course at APU at a significantly reduced price. It is an excellent course that does an outstanding job of preparing students with the techniques and strategies needed to do well on this exam.

The class will meet on East Campus from 1–4 p.m. on eight consecutive Saturdays, beginning October 15 and ending December 10 (excluding November 26). (Please note: Due to a change in the schedule, these dates have been updated since originally published.)

To sign up for the free workshops or extended course, or for more information, contact Patricia Andujo, interim director of the Pew College Society, at pandujo@apu.edu.
