The TOEFL requirement can be waived if:
- You have attended a school for the past two years (48 units) whose medium of instruction is English.
- You must be able to provide verification that the school did teach in English and that you were not enrolled in any English support courses, such as ESL classes, during that time.
** The TOEFL requirement for the Nursing program cannot be waived.
Or Option 2: Study at the American Language and Culture Institute (Intensive English Program)
The American Language and Culture Institute offers six levels. Each level can be completed in one semester. Students will be placed in the appropriate level upon testing and admission. After completion of Level 4, students can directly enter their undergraduate program after acceptance into APU as an undergraduate student. Students applying for undergraduate nursing or business programs are required to complete Level 5 before entering their desired program.
American Language and Culture Institute application
Anyone applying for conditional admission must also complete and submit an American Language
