Sopholmore LB Jay York and senior SS Beau Leaman will lead the NAIA's No. 23-ranked Azusa Pacific into its season-opener vs. No. 1 Carroll.

Azusa Pacific is ranked No. 23 in the 2008 NAIA Coaches' Preseason Poll released today.

It marks the eighth time in the past 10 years that Azusa Pacific has opened a season ranked in an NAIA preseason poll.  Defending national champion Carroll College, the Cougars' season-opening opponent on Aug. 30, is ranked No. 1 in the poll.
