The junior All-American forward then scored a career-high 4 goals Saturday against Bethel. In just 2 days, Broad scored 6 goals with 10 shots to take the Cougars to a 3-0 season record and earn the title of NAIA Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week.
Junior Alll-American defender Katie Rorabaugh made a Cougar sweep of the award by taking the national defender of the week honor as well. Rorabaugh led a Coguar defense that limited Ohio Dominican and Bethel to just 5 combined shots on goal. In the process, she also scored a goal -- the first of the game less than 2 minutes into play vs. Bethel -- and assisted on 2 others.
This is the first NAIA Player of the Week award for Broad and Rorabaugh. The last Cougar to earn the Player of the Week recognition was goalkeeper Jill Colfer-Martinson, who nabbed the honor 3 times in the 2007 season.
