AZUSA, Calif. -- Azusa Pacific goalkeeper James Crawford has been named the GSAC Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week for his back-to-back shutouts against The Master's and Biola last week.
With 7 saves in the 2 games, Crawford was a key component in the 1-0 win over Biola, and the 0-0 tie that went to 2 overtime periods against The Master's. The senior goalkeeper now has 6 shutouts for the season with a personal record of 563 consecutive scoreless minutes of play. With last week's games, Crawford has a career record of 26 shutouts, an Azusa Pacific all-time best.
The Cougar defense looks to continue their 6-straight shutout streak as they travel to Irvine on Wednesday to play Concordia in one of their final GSAC matches.
