Just hours after Azusa Pacific claimed the Golden State Athletic Conference men's soccer title on an overtime "golden goal", former Cougar Steven Lenhart scored in second-half stoppage time to lift the Columbus Crew to a 1-1 draw on the road in the opener of its Eastern Conference Semifinal Series Saturday night.

Lenhart ripped a 17-yard volley inside the left post, beating Kansas City goalkeeper Kevin Hartman for the equalizer. The ball ended up at Lenhart's feet after Danny O'Rourke's long-range shot from outside the box was deflected, and Alejandro Moreno played it off his chest to Lenhart's quick right foot. Lenhart was Columbus' fifth-leading scorer, registering 4 goals on 8 shots despite playing just 278 total minutes on the season for the MLS Eastern Conference champions.
