Whitten and Hundley Earn GSAC Softball Players of the Week

AZUSA, Calif. -- Azusa Pacific softball seniors Jen Whitten and Camille Hundley swept Golden State Athletic Conference honors this week by receiving GSAC Players of the Week.

As well as hitting a double, centerfielder Jen Whitten totaled 3 runs, 2 RBIs, and 2 stolen bases last week to help lead the Cougars to 2 wins each over Hope International and Point Loma Nazarene.

In 14 innings of play, pitcher Camille Hundley struck out 21 batters without giving up a run.  At Hope International, Hundley tied her own single-game record of 15 strikeouts.  With the win over NAIA No. 3-ranked Point Loma, Hundley brought her personal reocrd to 13-10 with a 2.12 ERA.

Azusa Pacific Softball enters the GSAC Tournament this week with an overall record of 26-20 and 12-12 for the GSAC.
