AZUSA, Calif. – With no rest for the weary, Azusa Pacific’s nationally-ranked women’s and men’s basketball teams must turn around and host first round games of the 17th Annual Golden State Athletic Conference Postseason Tournament, beginning just 2 days following the close of the regular season.
The Cougar women, who finished the regular season with a 25-5 record and ranked No. 7 in the final NAIA Coaches Poll, open the conference tournament as the No. 2 seed and will host Hope International University (12-18) in a first-round game Wednesday (March 3) in the Felix Event Center. Should the Cougars prevail, they’ll host a semifinal game Friday (March 5) against the Point Loma Nazarene/Westmont winner.
The Cougar men enter the GSAC Postseason Tournament riding a 4-game winning streak and ranked No. 15 in the final coaches poll. The Cougars (21-9) host The Master’s College (18-12) Thursday (March 4).
Each game is scheduled to tip off at 7:30 p.m. (PST).
Tickets for all 3 games can be purchased through the Felix Event Center Ticket Office, by walk-up or by calling 626-815-5495. Prices are $10 for adults, $8 for seniors (62 years), and $6 for students with ID.
