AZUSA, Calif. -- The Azusa Pacific men's and women's cross country teams have earned berths into the NAIA Championship Meet scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 20, in Vancouver, Wash.

Both squads collected 1 of the 8 at-large bids available for the men's and women's championship meets.  The Cougar women, ranked No. 3 in the final NAIA Poll, received the expected news Monday morning, but it was the Cougar men, ranked No. 18, that nervously waited for word from the NAIA after finishing second at the Golden State Athletic Conference meet this past weekend.

Thirty-two teams each make up the men's and women's NAIA field, and Azusa Pacific is 1 of 16 schools to send both its men's and women's teams to the championship field.
