AZUSA, Calif. -- The schedule for Azusa Pacific's 4-game Golden State Athletic Conference-opening series with Vanguard this week has been adjusted due to the likelihood of rain in the weekend forecast for Costa Mesa.

Azusa Pacific will host Wednesday's 5 p.m. game as scheduled, but will add an extra home contest Thursday in what is now a doubleheader that begins at 3 p.m. The series will conclude Friday with a noon start time in Costa Mesa, which is expected to have rain throughout the weekend.

Thursday's doubleheader will be a 9-inning game followed by a 7-inning game, and Vanguard will be considered the home team of the 7-inning nightcap.
