Football Game Moves Home, Gives Cougars Seven Home Games In 2011

Citrus Stadium (capacity 10,000) plays host to seven Azusa Pacific football home games in 2011.

Azusa Pacific's originally-scheduled first football road game Sept. 17 at Whittier has been changed to a home game at Citrus Stadium that gives the Cougars seven home games in its 10-game 2011 schedule. The season now begins with six consecutive home games, with Azusa Pacific’s Oct. 15 visit to future NCAA Div. II conference rival Dixie State (Utah) serving as the new road opener for the Cougars.

Following the Sept. 3 season opener against NCAA Div. I Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) University of San Diego, Azusa Pacific remains home to take on three consecutive NCAA Div. III foes (La Verne, Whittier, Chapman) followed by back-to-back NAIA matchups against Webber International (Fla.) and McPherson (Kan.).  All Azusa Pacific home games will be played at Citrus College Stadium.
