Hollie Tirrell is in her third year at Azusa Pacific serving as an assistant athletic trainer, working primarily with the Cougar men's soccer, women's soccer, and baseball teams.
Before coming to Azusa Pacific, Tirrell spent two years as the head athletic trainer at Santa Monica High School while serving part-time as an assistant athletic trainer at Chaffey College. From 2008-2010, she was a graduate assistant athletic trainer at Portland State University, working primarily with football and women's golf. She also spent four years as the head athletic trainer at Gabrielino High School through a sports medicine outreach program with Fortanasce and Associates Physical Therapy.
Tirrell graduated from Azusa Pacific in 2001 with a bachelor's degree in athletic training and earned her master's degree in health studies with an emphasis in physical activity and exercise from Portland State in 2010. She has also been a certified kinesio taping practitioner since 2009.
Hollie and her husband, Jeff, an adjunct professor in Azusa Pacific's department of theatre, film and television, currently reside in Glendora.
