THIS YEAR: Will transition to catcher for Azusa Pacific, looking to improve upon an impressive junior season.

2012 (Junior): Had a strong season at third base, batting .312 with 30 RBIs after starting in 53 of 59 games for the Cougars... Recorded 59 hits, and registered five home runs... Sealed Azusa Pacific's six-run comeback with a walk-off home run against Cal State San Marcos on Feb. 18... Tallied a season-high four RBI in the Cougars' 13-10 win over the Master's... Had 19 multi-hit games, and nine multi-RBI games... Had three consecutive two-RBI performances from April 9 to April 17... Had an eight-game hitting streak, and closed the season with a five-game hitting streak.

2011 (sophomore): Started 20 times at third base and played in 26 games ... Finished the season with a .240 batting average and had two multi-RBI performances ... Also made two appearances as a pitcher.

2010 (freshman): Played in 15 games, starting 7 times at third base ... Batted .182 (4-for-22) with 5 runs and 5 RBIs, collecting 2 of his hits in GSAC games ... Posted a .296 on-base percentage, drawing 1 walk and 3 hit by pitch ... Smashed his first collegiate home run, a solo shot to straightaway center, when he started at third base in a 10-1 win over Westmont.

HIGH SCHOOL: Was a 3-sport star at Milford (Mass.) High, playing 3 years of baseball and football along with 2 seasons of basketball for the Scarlet Hawks ... Was a 2-time Midland-Wachusett A League All-Star ... Also picked up MetroWest Daily News Super Team and Worcester Telegram first team honors as a 2009 senior after posting a .450 batting average with 27 RBIs ... Also registered a .700 on-base percentage while playing both corner infield positions, outfield, as well as pitching to help lead the Scarlet Hawks to an 18-5 campaign ... Was a 2-year starter at quarterback for Milford's football team.

PERSONAL: Born on Dec. 4, 1990, in Milford, Mass., to John (college baseball coach) and Diane (occupational therapist) Casey ... Has 3 brothers (Brian, Kevin, Chris) ... Father is the head baseball coach at NCAA Div. III Tufts (Mass.) University, and oldest brother Brian played baseball and is currently an assistant coach at Tufts ... Older brother Kevin also played baseball at Tufts from 2006-09, while younger brother Chris is currently a high school junior ... Enjoys watching college football and going to the cape.
