Held left-handed batters to a .197 batting average, and pitched well from the stretch, limiting opposing hitters to a .222 clip with runners on... Tossed a nine-inning four-hit shutout in a dominating effort against San Diego Christian on April, 7, tallying a season-high 10 strikeouts in the victory... Pitched seven innings of two-hit ball, allowing one run (unearned) in a 3-1 win over Fresno Pacific on March 10... Had 10 starts where he allowed two earned runs or fewer.

SAN BERNARDINO VALLEY COLLEGE: Played one season of baseball for Bill Merczyk and was drafted by the Baltimore Orioles in the 25th of the 2011 MLB draft ... Helped his team to a 20-17 record en route to earning second-team all-Foothill Conference honors.

CHAFFEY COLLEGE: Attended Chaffey College and played one season of baseball under head coach Jeff Harlow.

HIGH SCHOOL: Prepped at Cajon High School in San Bernardino and played two varsity seasons of baseball under head coach Jon Austin ... As a senior his Cowboys went 22-3 and he was named to the San Andreas League second-team.
