2012 (freshman): Went 7-0 with a 3.30 ERA in his first season of collegiate baseball... Appeared in 11 games, starting eight times... Boasted a 37-to-7 strikeout to walk ratio... Allowed only one home run in 62.2 innings... Tossed seven innings, limiting Arizona Christian to one run on five hits in the NAIA Round, helping Azusa Pacific to an 8-2 win... Pitched 6.2 innings, and gave up just one earned run in his debut against Cal State San Marcos... Struck out a season-high nine batters, and allowed just one run in a 6-3 victory over Cal State Dominguez Hills.

HIGH SCHOOL: Pitched two seasons of varsity baseball for head coach Al Leyva at Damien High School in La Verne, Calif. ... Helped his Spartans to two straight CIF quarterfinals appearances.
