2012 (junior): Appeared in 22 games, starting once to finish with a 2-0 record... Had an impressive 6-to-1 strikeout-to-walk ratio (24:6)... Registered a 5.77 ERA, allowing 22 earned runs in 34.1 innings of work... Tossed a season-high six innings and struck out three batters in a 14-5 win over Westmont on Feb. 11... Earned his second win after pitching 2.1 innings of relief and striking out three batters in a 10-5 victory over The Master's March 15... Held opposing teams scoreless in 11 appearances.
2011 (sophomore): Played in 22 games, registering 25 innings of work as a relief pitcher to finish with a 4-2 record ... Recorded a 3.24 ERA and struck out 23 batters while walking nine ... Was perfect in five of his appearances ... Started 12 times (eight at DH, four in right field) ... Hit .159 (7-for-44) and had three RBI and one HR.
2010 (freshman): Played in 44 games, starting 30 times ... Was the only Cougar to start games at 4 different positions (12 games at designated hitter, 10-third base, 5-right field, 3-first base) ... Batted .298 (36-for-121) with 9 home runs, 26 RBIs, and 26 runs, with the team's fourth-highest slugging percentage (.595) ... Recorded 10 multi-hit games and 8 games with at least 2 RBIs ... Hit 7 of his 9 home runs in conference games and 10 of his 17 extra-base hits came on the road ... Had a pair of 2-homer games, both in GSAC games against Vanguard and Westmont ... Went 2-for-5 with a double, a home run, 3 runs, and 4 RBIs in his collegiate debut, a 20-0 blowout against La Sierra ... Hit safely in all 4 games of a GSAC series with Biola and went 7-for-16 with 2 home runs in the 4-game conference series against Concordia.
HIGH SCHOOL: Played 2 varsity seasons as a first baseman and pitcher at Bonita High in La Verne, Calif., for head coach and Azusa Pacific alum John Knott, a 3-year Cougar who is 1 of 3 players in program history with a career batting average over .400 ... Was the Bearcats' home runs and slugging percentage leader his junior and senior seasons and posted a 13-3 pitching record over that 2-year period to help lead Bonita to consecutive appearances in the CIF-Southern Section quarterfinals ... Named to San Gabriel Valley Tribune all-area second team and All-Miramonte League first team as a 2009 senior ... Batted .342 (25-for-73) with 9 home runs and 33 RBIs his senior year, going 6-2 with a 2.03 ERA as a pitcher to lead Bonita to a 21-6 campaign and the Miramonte League title ... Earned MVP honors in the San Gabriel Valley Senior All-Star game, playing alongside high school and current Cougar teammate Ryan Henley in the contest ... Also played in that year's Inland Valley High School All-Star Game, playing on the North squad with current Cougar teammate Matt Page ... As a 2008 junior, posted a .333 (16-for-48) batting average with 6 doubles, 5 home runs, 17 RBIs, and 21 runs ... Went 7-1 with a 1.69 ERA, striking out 34 in 49.2 innings in 2008.
