AZUSA, Calif.-- The Azusa Pacific baseball program will host its 11th annual golf tournament on Thursday, Oct. 31 at the Sierra Lakes Golf Club in Fontana, Calif.
The tournament's sponsorships, donations and overall participation will go to the support of the Cougar baseball program. The money raised will help with scholarship funds, availability and quality of team equipment as well as travel costs for the 2014 season.
The driving-range will open for participants at 6 a.m. and the official tee-off will follow at 8 a.m. The shotgun start will begin the four-person scramble format on the 18-hole course. Lunch will be provided for the participants after the round, where the auction, raffle and award ceremony will take place. The tournament is adding a new aspect to the golf classic this year with a costume contest for either the best-dressed golfer or group in which an additional prize will be awarded.
Tournament registrations are to be mailed to the Azusa Pacific Baseball Office (901 E. Alosta Ave., Azusa CA 91702). For more information regarding the 2013 Golf Tournament, contact Azusa Pacific assistant coach Matt Venegas or refer to the attached brochure.
