- Ray Earns A'sJun. 7, 2005 | Azusa Pacific junior hurler Jason Ray was selected today in the eighth round of the 2005 Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft. He was taken by the Oakland A's with the 21st pick of the round, No. 251 overall.

- All-American VogtJun. 3, 2005 | Sophomore Stephen Vogt continues to clutter his trophy case as the 2005 GSAC and NAIA Region II Player of the Year was named NAIA All-American first team today, becoming the first Cougars since 1999 to earn first team honors.

- Cougars Ink Two FroshMay 17, 2005 | Less than 2 weeks removed from its season, Azusa Pacific head coach Paul Svagdis announced the signing of a pair of high school standouts for next season--Christian Gagne (Mater Dei HS) and Kirk Nieuwenhuis (Denver Christian HS).
- The Vogt Is In...May 9, 2005 | ...and sophomore catcher Stephen Vogt was named GSAC Player of the Year by the GSAC's coaches over the weekend. Vogt led the GSAC in hitting and was in the GSAC's top 5 in almost every offensive category.
- All Hail HodsdonMay 6, 2005 | Sophomore Scott Hodsdon did it all in Azusa Pacific's season-finale sweep of Westmont, producing a pair of game-winning hits while pitching a pair shutout innings in relief work.
- Pettikas Pounds WestmontMay 5, 2005 | Zach Pettikas has this pitching thing figured out. The freshman southpaw carried a no-hitter into the eighth before settling for a 17-2 win over Westmont, his third straight victory.
