  • Sweet-Sounding Broken RecordApr. 19, 2007 | It’s official – the NAIA’s No. 2-ranked Azusa Pacific is in the program’s record books after posting its 19th straight win, the longest winning streak in program history after posting a 9-2 road win over Vanguard Thursday afternoon in Costa Mesa, a win that also handed the Cougars at least a share of their conference-record ninth Golden State Athletic Conference championship.
  • Knocking On History’s DoorApr. 18, 2007 | The NAIA’s No. 2-ranked Azusa Pacific won its 18th straight game, tying the longest winning streak in program history with a 16-8 win over Vanguard Wednesday afternoon in Azusa. Scott Hodsdon and Stephen Gillette slammed 2 home runs apiece to lead the Cougars’ 17-hit attack, and Stephen Vogt broke the program’s career RBI mark with a fifth-inning single.
  • Season-Highs Set In Santa Barbara SweepApr. 14, 2007 | The NAIA’s No. 2-ranked Azusa Pacific tied a season-high with 10 runs in an inning, sent a season-high 16 batters to the plate in the same inning and Scott Hodsdon set the program’s single-season RBI record in a 21-2, 7-0 doubleheader sweep over Westmont Saturday afternoon in Santa Barbara.
  • Cougars Leave The “L” In La VerneApr. 11, 2007 | The NAIA’s No. 2-ranked Azusa Pacific picked up where it left off nearly 2 weeks ago – in the victory column. The Cougars’ 8-3 win in a non-conference tuneup Wednesday afternoon at La Verne extended their win streak to 15 games heading into the final 10 games of the regular season.
  • Cougars "Walk-Off" With 5-4 Win Over QuakesApr. 4, 2007 | The NAIA’s No. 2-ranked Azusa Pacific scored all 5 of its runs in its final at-bat without the benefit of a single hit, taking advantage of 5 walks, a timely error and a perfectly-executed rundown. Rancho Cucamonga native Scott Hodsdon slammed the door on his hometown Quakes, the Class A California League affiliate of the Los Angeles Angeles of Anaheim, striking out 4 of the 6 batters he faced, and the Cougars shocked the Quakes with a 5-4 victory Wednesday night at The Epicenter.
  • Near-Perfect Hodsdon No One-Hit WonderMar. 31, 2007 | A week ago, Scott Hodsdon was on top of the world after homering in the first game and tossing a 3-hit shutout to lead the NAIA’s No. 2-ranked Azusa Pacific to a season series sweep over archrival Biola. Hodsdon one-upped himself in the Cougars’ 17-12, 6-0 doubleheader sweep over San Diego Christian, hitting his NAIA-leading 16th and 17th home runs in the opener before taking a perfect game into the sixth inning and settling for a 1-hit complete-game shutout of the GSAC’s second-best offense in the nightcap.
  • Master’s Memory Drives Cougars To 6-2 WinMar. 29, 2007 | Brad Boekestein remembered the last time Azusa Pacific posted a big victory over The Master’s just over 3 weeks ago, primarily for what happened the next day when the Mustangs handed the Cougars their last GSAC defeat. He didn’t let it happen again, guiding the NAIA’s No. 2-ranked Cougars to a 6-2 victory over The Mustangs Thursday evening in Azusa.
  • Cougars Start With SevenMar. 28, 2007 | The NAIA’s No. 2-ranked Azusa Pacific plastered 7 runs in the first inning before The Master’s had an opportunity to bat, and the Cougars left Santa Clarita with an impressive 10-3 road win to extending their current GSAC-win streak to 9 games Wednesday afternoon.
  • Cougars' Historic Sweep A Win-WinMar. 24, 2007 | The NAIA’s No. 3-ranked Azusa Pacific needed no last-at bat heroics in a 9-3, 6-0 doubleheader sweep at No. 9-ranked Biola Saturday afternoon in La Mirada, giving the Cougars their first season series sweep over the Eagles in the 13 years since Biola joined the GSAC, as well as a 30th victory that made the 2007 Cougars the fastest in program history to reach 30 wins in a season.
  • Scotty & Stephen Show Rolls OnMar. 21, 2007 | Scott Hodsdon and Stephen Vogt helped the NAIA’s No. 3-ranked Azusa Pacific post an 8-2, 8-7 doubleheader sweep to kick off the second half of the GSAC baseball schedule with a pair of road victories over Fresno Pacific Wednesday afternoon in Visalia.
