THIS YEAR: All-GSAC junior center Kristie Hala'ufia returns as a key piece of the Azusa Pacific frontcourt ... Brings a physical presence to the post and is difficult to stop in the key ... Teams with Moore-Porter to make it nearly impossible for opponents to double-team in the post ... Creates an intimidating presence on defense ... Is noted for her zest and exuberance with an out-going personality that makes her a leader.

2009 (junior): Named All-GSAC first team and received NAIA All-America honorable mention after averaging 16.1 points and 7.9 rebounds for the 23-11 Cougars ... Started all 34 games and tallied 11 20-point outings and 8 double-doubles ... Best showing came in a late-season GSAC win over Westmont in which he recorded 24 points and a career-high 17 rebounds ... Best overall effort came in a GSAC-opening victory over Cal Baptist in which she registered 19 points, 17 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 blocked shots ... Scored a career-high 29 points in a win over Concordia ... Came up big against ranked teams out of conference, averaging 20 points 6 such games ... Recorded 23 points and 12 rebounds in an NAIA Tournament opening victory over Southern Nazarene.

2008 (sophomore): Started 9 consecutive games for the Cougars mid-season and made appearances in all 32 games ... Scored 350 points on the season, averaging 10.9 per game while collecting 6.0 rebounds per game ... Also blocked 13 shots on the season ... Registered season-highs of 24 points and 12 rebounds in an impressive 81-73 road win at Lewis-Clark State ... Posted 2 more double-doubles with a 19-point, 11-rebound effort against eventual NAIA runner-up Trevecca Nazarene and a 17-point, 10-rebound performance against California Baptist in the GSAC Tournament ... Came off the bench for a team-high 16 points along with 7 rebounds in 21 minutes in a 69-63 defeat to Wiley (Texas) in the NAIA Tournament first round.

2007 (freshman): Had to sit out the 2007 season to satisfy NAIA eligibility rules but practiced with the team throughout the season.

2006 (redshirt): Redshirted her first season at Azusa Pacific.

HIGH SCHOOL: Was a 3-sport athlete at Aragon High in San Mateo, Calif. ... Played 4 years of varsity basketball under head coach Annette Gennaro ... Was also a member of the volleyball and track teams ... Named All-Peninsula Athletic League after averaging 16 points as a 2005 senior ... Led the Dons to a semi-final appearance in the Northern California playoffs ... Was a major reason why Aragon went 99-25 in her 4 seasons ... Helped the Dons go 48-3 in league play ... As a junior, averaged 12 points and earned All-PAL honorable mention ... Was named to the All-PAL first team for her work as a middle blocker on the volleyball team ... Was injured for the majority of her sophomore season and did not play ... Averaged 9 points as a freshman ... Served 1 year as team captain.

PERSONAL: Born Aug. 25, 1987, to Sitani and Diean Hala'ufia in Redwood City, Calif. ... Has 2 brothers (Joseph, Samuel) and 1 sister (former Cougar center Meliame) ... Has several relatives who have played collegiate basketball including her uncles Sam (Cal Poly) and Rex (Pepperdine) ... Also has a cousin, Alexandria, currently attending Azusa Pacific ... Another cousin, Roy Helu, was the leading rusher for the University of Nebraska football team this past season ... Served as the Polynesian Club President.
