AZUSA, Calif. -- Azusa Pacific University has been selected to host the NBC Basketball Summer Camps, offering a variety of camp and clinic offerings for boys and girls age 7-18 at the Felix Event Center this summer.

NBC Camps offers over 100 basketball camps in 45 different cities, and over 250,000 athletes have been trained at NBC Camps, which has one of the highest rates of returning campers and customer satisfaction ratings.

Tim Beauregard, an assistant coach for Azusa Pacific’s 2011 NAIA national champion women’s basketball team, is the camp director, and this summer’s camp provides 2 separate weeklong camp options plus 3 separate 1-night clinics for various age groups. Click here for the PDF camp flyer.

"I believe basketball teaches our youth such things as leadership, teamwork, dedication, perseverance and trust," Beauregard said. "That makes it much more than a sport to me - it makes it an outline for life success. Each chance I get to work with our youth only serves to further my passion for teaching, learning, and basketball as a whole."

The first camp option is the Complete Player Junior Basketball Day Camp, which runs from 9 am to 3 pm Monday through Friday, July 18-22, for boys and girls age 7-12, for a $295 registration fee. The second option is the Complete Player Basketball Overnight Camp, which is held July 25-28 for boys and girls age 9-18 for a $495 registration fee.

In addition, there are 3 separate clinics for boys and girls age 13-18: the Complete Skills Basketball Clinic (July 18, 6-9 pm), the Pure Shooting Basketball Clinic (July 20, 6-9 pm), and the Guard & Post Basketball Clinic (July 22, 6-9 pm). The registration fee is $35 per clinic, although a clinic special includes all 3 clinics for the discounted registration fee of $95.

To register, visit the registration page at www.NBCCamps.com, and questions or additional information on the camps should be directed by email to Camp Director Tim Beauregard at tbeauregard@apu.edu.
