AZUSA, Calif.-- The Azusa Pacific women’s basketball program hosts the four-team, two-day Azusa Pacific Invitational on Tuesday and Wednesday Dec. 18-19. The invite, which will feature the Cougars, George Fox (Ore.), Cal Poly Pomona, and Point Loma, is scheduled to for 3 and 5 p.m. on Tuesday, and at 2 and 4 p.m. on Wednesday with Azusa Pacific hosting the nightcap each day.

Game One: Point Loma vs. Cal Poly Pomona -- Tuesday, Dec. 18, 3 p.m.
BOX SCORE I Recap: Behind a career-game from J.J. Judge, Cal Poly Pomona posted a narrow 68-62 victory over Point Loma in game one of the Azusa Pacific Invitational. Judge went 8-for-8 from 3-point range to finish with 36 points and help the Broncos hold off a persistent Sea Lion squad. PLNU’s Carllott Kloppenburg had 27 points in a losing effort, and helped Point Loma cut what was once a 17-point second-half deficit to as little as one before the Broncos pulled away late. Cal Poly shot 58.3 percent from beyond the arc to improve to 3-4 on the year, while Point Loma falls to 3-4.
Game Two: George Fox vs. Azusa Pacific -- Tuesday, Dec. 18, 5 p.m.
BOX SCORE I In its first home game of the season Azusa Pacific nearly overcame a 12-point George Fox lead, but fell to the Bruins 68-65 after allowing the visitors to shoot 58.3 percent from the field. GFU had four players score in double-figures, led by Megan Hays’ 21-point effort. Amanda Sims paced the Cougars with 20 points after burying four treys and Sullivan Ziegler dished out a season-high nine assists. George Fox improves to 6-2, while the Cougars drop to 2-6.
Game Three: Point Loma vs. George Fox -- Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2 p.m.
BOX SCORE I Despite being out-shot 41.3 percent to 33.3 percent NCAA Division III 23rd ranked George Fox pulled away late to register its second win of the Azusa Pacific Invitational, defeating Point Loma 61-50. The Bruins held a +16 rebounding margin (46-30), and got double-digit scoring efforts from Hannah Munger, Jami Roos, and Megan Hays to post their seventh consecutive win. Point Loma’s Andrea Campbell tallied a game-high five blocks to go with five rebounds and nine points. The Sea Lions drop to 3-5, while George Fox improves to 7-2.
Game Four: Cal Poly Pomona vs. Azusa Pacific-- Wednesday, Dec. 19, 4 p.m.
BOX SCORE I An Amanda Sims jumper with 11 seconds to play lifted Azusa Pacific to a 55-54 win over Cal Poly Pomona. The Cougars shot just 37 percent from the field, but got a double-double from Hannah Kenny (18 points, 13 rebounds) and 17 offensive rebounds to post their third victory of the year. The Broncos had a chance to win it, but a Sullivan Ziegler steal sealed the Azusa Pacific win. Cal Poly Pomona’s Ashley Boggs poured in 25 points, but couldn’t help the team overcome a tough second half that saw the Broncos shoot just 25.9 percent. Cal Poly falls to 3-6, Azusa Pacific improves to 3-6.
