AZUSA, Calif.-- In late September the Azusa Pacific women’s basketball team will lead a missions trip to Baja California, where the players and coaches will build a home while sharing the Gospel.

The team will be partnering with Baja Christian Ministries, which has constructed over 2,000 homes, churches, classrooms, and orphanages in Baja California over the past two decades.

“The chance to integrate faith, service and sports is a great distinctive of Azusa Pacific. Helping players widen their scope with a missions trip like this will have lasting impact on their lives. I'm really excited for our team to have the chance to serve and be the hands and feet for the Gospel,” said head coach T.J. Hardeman.

The Cougars, who set a goal of raising $10,000 for the trip, have raised $5,000, and are still exploring all fundraising options. If you would like to contribute, please visit APU.EDU/GIVE, and choose the Baja Mission Trip option from the Athletics dropdown menu.
