  • Women's Hoops Adds 5Jul. 14, 2005 | Head Coach Danelle Liles has signed 5 players for the upcoming season as the Cougars look to get back to the NAIA Tournament.
  • Cougars to Host NBC CampsApr. 27, 2005 | Azusa Pacific will serve as a host institution for 2 separate NBC (Basketball) Camps later this summer--the Complete Skills Camp (June 19-23) and the Point Guard and Post Play Camp (June 26-30).
  • Hudson is All-AmericanMar. 23, 2005 | Senior Kelsey Hudson put the icing on her stellar 4-year career by earning her first-ever NAIA All-American honor. She was named to the third team.
  • Stars Shine BrightMar. 18, 2005 | Oklahoma City shot 56% and had 5 players in double figures. But it was the Stars' defense that shined as they held Azusa Pacific to just 29% shooting and 28 turnovers in a 106-58 win in the second round of the NAIA Tournament.
  • Walk in the ParkMar. 17, 2005 | Kelsey Hudson had a tournament-high 30 points, and Azusa Pacific used a 16-0 first half run to get its first NAIA Tournament win in 25 years, a 93-74 win over Brewton-Parker (Ga.).
  • Down and OutMar. 5, 2005 | Tuesday night, Azusa Pacific and Vanguard battled to the wire. Tonight, it was all Vanguard, which came out fighting and never let up in cruising to an 86-75 win in the GSAC Tournament semifinals.
  • Half and HalfMar. 3, 2005 | The first half was Alyssa Ferdaszewski's (16 points). The second half was Monica Somers' (17 points). Together they led Azusa Pacific to an 89-82 win over Westmont in the GSAC Tournament.
  • Vanguard Escapes ShootoutMar. 1, 2005 | In one of the most entertaining games of the season, No. 2 Vanguard lost a 13-point second half lead, but held on and escaped with a 99-94 win over Azusa Pacific.
  • Cougars Key in ClutchFeb. 22, 2005 | Katie Van Essen scored a season-high 12 points, and Sarah Leathers hit a pair of game-winning free throws in the final minute of a 75-72 win at Fresno Pacific.
  • What a DifferenceFeb. 19, 2005 | After struggling for a season-low 43 points in a 35-point loss at Point Loma Thursday, Azusa Pacific hit a school-record 15 treys to key its way to a 110-45 win over Christian Heritage.
