- No Upset For Cougar WomenJan. 13, 2007 | The NAIA’s No. 19-ranked Azusa Pacific provided a stiff challenge to top-ranked Vanguard, leading by as many as 10 points in the first half, but the Cougars went cold shooting and dropped an 80-72 decision at The Pit in Costa Mesa as the Lions extended their GSAC-record conference winning streak to 33 games with the win.
- Quick Stop Before A Pit StopJan. 9, 2007 | With this weekend's clash with the NAIA's top-ranked Vanguard looming, it might have been easy for the NAIA's No. 24-ranked Azusa Pacific to look past a Fresno Pacific squad that had lost 3 straight Golden State Athletic Conference contests. However, 7 different Cougars scored 8 or more points, including 5 who registered double figures, leading Azusa Pacific to an 89-67 win over the Sunbirds Tuesday evening at the Felix Event Center.
- Shipp Leads A Cougar CruiseJan. 4, 2007 | The NAIA's No. 24-ranked Azusa Pacific jumped out to an early 18-0 lead, but junior guard Kate Shipp led a spirited second-half effort by the Cougar reserves to put the game out of reach and extend the Cougars' winning streak to 9 games with an 86-48 GSAC victory over San Diego Christian Thursday evening at the Felix Event Center.
- All AboardJan. 2, 2007 | Senior guard Monica Somers put the NAIA's No. 24-ranked Azusa Pacific on her back and carried the Cougars from a 28-28 halftime deadlock with 22 of her game-high 32 points in the second half, leading the Cougars to a 75-59 road victory over Hope International while setting the Azusa Pacific career record for free throws.
- Cougars Wrap Up Challenge With RunawayDec. 29, 2006 | In a contest that looked more like a conditioning drill, the NAIA's No. 24-ranked Azusa Pacific broke Olivet Nazarene's full-court press with ease to post a convincing 115-89 victory over the visiting Tigers in the final game of the 7th Annual GSAC Challenge Friday evening at the Felix Event Center. Azusa Pacific's point total was the third-highest in program history and the most for a Cougar squad since a 120-30 victory over Chapman during the 1976-77 season.
- Records Fall In 7th Annual GSAC ChallengeDec. 29, 2006 | McKendree (Ill.) pulled off the 77-71 upset of the NAIA's No. 7-ranked The Master's, and the other 2 games of the day featured GSAC Challenge single-game record-setting 3-point shooting displays as the second and final day of the 7th Annual GSAC Challenge wrapped up action at the Felix Event Center. California Baptist's Nicole Davis was named the Challenge MVP.
- Defense Keys Cougar Women's 84-72 WinDec. 28, 2006 | Although the NAIA’s No. 24-ranked Azusa Pacific had 4 individual double-digit scoring performances, it was a stiff Cougar defense that came up with 6 blocks, 18 steals and forced McKendree (Ill.) into 28 turnovers in an 84-72 victory to wrap up a record-setting opening day of action at the 7th Annual GSAC Challenge Thursday evening at the Felix Event Center.
- Somers Shines in Miami WinterDec. 18, 2006 | Senior guard Monica Somers scored 23 of her career-high 36 points in the second half to lead Azusa Pacifific to a 73-61 come-from-behind victory over William Jewell.
- No Baker's DozenDec. 16, 2006 | Junior point guard Sarah Leathers scored a conventional dozen points, all in the final 13 minutes, to lead the NAIA's No. 24-ranked Azusa Pacific to a come-from-behind 84-74 win over Baker (Kan.) in the opening day of action Saturday evening at the 7th Annual Cruzin Classic in Miami Shores, Fla.
