Recruiting

Becoming a Competition Squad Member

Tryouts will be held on East Campus in the Cougar Dome April 19, 2008, 9 a.m.–2 p.m. and April 20, 2008, 2–6 p.m. All interested students should complete the Competition Squad Application.* Also, please bring a photo of yourself and two coach/teacher letters of recommendation with you to tryouts. Please note that you must also apply for undergraduate admission to APU to be considered.

Students unable to attend tryouts may submit a video postmarked by April 14, 2008. Cheerleaders will be selected as the need and talent arrives. Plan a Visit

The best way to get to know Azusa Pacific’s squad is to attend practice. If you wish to attend a practice, please contact Coach Colleen Kausrud at ckausrud@apu.edu.

Another way to learn about APU cheer is to come see us in action at one of our competitions. See the schedule for dates and locations.

“We are excited that you are considering being a part of Cougar Cheerleading! We will push you to excellence, keeping Christ as the focus of all we do. Come ready to work hard and be a part of our family. Go Cougars!”
Colleen Kausrud, head coach
