Started the season strong as the third Cougar at the Aztec Invitational (26:37) and the fourth at the Stanford Invitational (26:24) ... Ran a career-best 8K of 26:17 to finish 44th overall (sixth among Cougars) at the Aquinas Invitational in Grand Rapids, Mich. ... Was 21st that GSAC Championships (26:39) and 165th at the NAIA Championships (26:37) in Kenosha, Wis.

TRACK & FIELD: Transferred to Azusa Pacific at mid-semester and was a key athlete in the Cougars' sweeping the 2009 NAIA indoor and outdoor track & field championships ... Ran the opening leg on the Cougars' NAIA national champion indoor 4x800-meter relay that set the NAIA record at 9:50.88 ... Qualified for the NAIA outdoor 800 but did not advance to the finals ... Did not compete at the GSAC Championship Meet in San Diego.
PURDUE: Redshirtted the 2007-08 year at Purdue University as a member of the Boilermaker cross country and track & field teams ... Did not compete in any meets while working out with the teams and attending classes.
