AZUSA, Calif. -- For the second consecutive week, Azusa Pacific was represented in the Pacific West Conference Men's Cross Country weekly awards, as freshman Kyle Bueckert was selected as the PacWest Freshman Runner of the Week after his performance at Saturday’s UC Riverside Invitational.

The PacWest announced the honor Monday after Bueckert finished 30th overall among the nearly 200 collegiate competitors with a time of 25:26.6. Bueckert’s finish put him ninth among all Division II entries and he was the fifth PacWest finisher in the race.

The PacWest Freshman Runner of the Week is one of two weekly honors bestowed by the conference, going to either a freshman or redshirt freshman based on their overall performance for the previous week of competition.

The PacWest Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week was Hawai'i Pacific junior Fermin Murillo-Villagran.
