Diane Bahruth is the business administrator for Azusa Pacific athletics, and this past summer she was recognized for completing 20 years with the university.
Prior to joining Azusa Pacific, Bahruth spent 15 years developing a strong base of knowledge in the business world, working for an escrow company and helping her husband establish a business. She originally joined Azusa Pacific in the business office for a short time before moving into a role in athletics, and she has been instrumental in simplifying financial processes and assisting the director of athletics in oversight of the department's $4 million budget.
Bahruth has the unique distinction of working for each of Azusa Pacific's four directors of athletics: NAIA Hall of Famers Cliff Hamlow, Terry Franson, Bill Odell, along with the current director of athletics Gary Pine. In addition to her expertise in financial matters, Bahruth has also mentored the department's student secretaries and served a number of years in the university's Heart-to-Heart program.
Bahruth and her husband Dick have been married for over 40 years, and they reside in Glendora. Dick received his MBA from Azusa Pacific, and both of their children also graduated from Azusa Pacific. Her son Peter was the starting center on the Cougars' 1998 football team that won the NAIA National Championship, and he is married with three children. Her daughter Emily is also married and has two children. In addition to spending time with her five grandchildren, Bahruth enjoys cycling, hiking, travel, reading, and crocheting.
