Chris Baker enters his second year as the assistant sports information director at Azusa Pacific. He is the primary media contact for men's and women's soccer, volleyball, women's basketball, women's swimming & diving, women's water polo, baseball, and men's and women's tennis.

After graduating from Cal State San Bernardino in 2010 with a bachelor's in mass communication, Baker spent one year as a graduate assistant under Azusa Pacific alum, Micah McDaniel, at California Baptist University, where he earned his master's in sports management in 2011. At CSUSB he spent three years with the student newspaper, The Coyote Chronicle, serving two years as the sports editor. At California Baptist, he was the primary media contact for aquatic sports, covering the Lancers' 2011 NAIA championship women's swimming and diving team.

Chris and his wife Ashlee have been married since Sept. 2010 and currently reside in Glendora.
