Curtis Zeilenga is in his first year as associate athletic trainer for his alma mater Azusa Pacific. Zeilenga is the point person of medical care and treatment for Cougar football and track & field.
Prior to returning to Azusa Pacific, Zeilenga spent five years at the University of Charleston (NCAA Division II) where he served the past three years as the head athletic trainer and coordinator of clinical services. In his role at Charleston, he was the site coordinator of the NCAA drug testing program, and he will continue in that capacity at Azusa Pacific. In addition, Zeilenga taught courses in the undergraduate ATEP program at Charleston.
Zeilenga received his bachelor's degree from Azusa Pacific in 2003 and completed his master's degree in kinesiology from Sonoma State in 2007. He was a graduate assistant athletic trainer for two years at Sonoma State, and he also spent one year at University of the Pacific (NCAA Div. I) along with one year as the head athletic trainer for the Stockton Lightning arena football team.
Zeilenga resides in San Dimas.
