THIS YEAR: One of more than 40 true freshmen to join the Cougar program, David Allison will likely redshirt the 2008 season as he adjusts to the college game.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played 2 seasons of varsity football at Desert Christian High in Lancaster, Calif., where he was named Desert Mountain All-League as a 2007 senior … Averaged 5.5 tackles per game his senior year … Also competed for the Desert Christian Knights in basketball and track and field for 2 varsity seasons each … Played 2 seasons of 8-man varsity football and 1 season of varsity baseball as a freshman at Bethel Christian High also in Lancaster.
