2007: Gained his first live collegiate experience as a redshirt freshman, appearing in 8 of the Cougars' 11 games including 3 midseason starts.
2006: Redshirted his first season at Azusa Pacific.
HIGH SCHOOL: Played 3 seasons of varsity football for head coach (and now Cougar assistant) Steve Loumagne at Western Christian High in Covina, Calif. ... Was a 2-time All-Christian League honoree, earning second team tributes as a defensive lineman during his 2004 junior campaign before following with first team recognition as an offensive lineman during his 2005 senior season ... Named team MVP as a senior ... Teamed with fellow Cougar Mike Loumagne along the Lancer frontline ... Also competed one season in track & field (throws).
PERSONAL: Son of Evis (business owner) and Martina Beaton ... Has 2 younger brothers (Andrew, Alex) and 3 younger sisters (Emily, Elizabeth, Amanda) ... Enjoys working on cars and owns a 1971 Chevelle ... Plays the bass guitar in the family band ... Has not declared a major.
