HIGH SCHOOL: Was a 3-sport standout at Horizon High in San Diego ... Earned 3 varsity letters in football playing for head coach Chris Johnson ... Was a 2-time All-Coastal League second-team pick ... As a 2007 senior, was second on the team with 91 tackles, averaging 8.3 a game for the 3-8 Panthers ... Best game came in a 29-11 victory over Hamilton in which he registered a career-high 20 tackles (8 solo) ... Also rushed for 308 yards on 52 carries (5.9 avg.) as a fullback ...
