THIS YEAR: Another member of the largest freshman class in Azusa Pacific football history, Eric Granger has a chance to play as a true freshman, either as a reserve linebacker or on special teams ... Noted for his strength and agility.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played 3 seasons of varsity football at L.A. Baptist High in North Hills, Calif. ... Was a 2-time All-Olympic League first team honoree ... Was also a 2-time team defensive player of the year ... As a 2007 senior led the team with 110 tackles (11 per game), which included a career-high 15 in a loss to Oak Park High ... Also had 14 tackles (12 solo) in a setback to Valley Christian High ... Also served the team as a running back (139 yards and 2 TDs) and punter (34.0 avg.) ... As a 2006 junior led the team with 83 tackles (42 solo) ... Came on strong toward the end of the season with 44 tackles in the final 4 games, including a season-high 12 vs. Village Christian High ... Lettered 2 years in soccer before giving up the sport to play varsity basketball as a senior ... Also competed on the Knights’ track & field team for 2 seasons ... Served as student council president.

His father played football at Cal State Fullerton ... Majoring in biochemistry with a minor in business ... Would like to go into product development.
