THIS YEAR: A bruising fullback, sophomore David Kim teams with Tyler Roach and Alex Peltier to give the Cougars a constant physical presence in the backfield … Quite physical yet deceptively elusive for his size.

2006: Missed the entire 2006 season with an injury.

2005: Made his first collegiate appearance, coming off the bench in the final 6 games of the season … Rushed for 72 yards on 19 carries … Tallied a best of 29 yards on 6 carries, including a 16-yard jaunt, vs. Eastern Oregon … Scored his first and only collegiate TD, a 1-yard burst, to give Azusa Pacific a quick 7-0 lead vs. NCAA Division I-AA Sacramento State … As an up-back, also returned 2 kickoffs that game for 43 yards.

2004: Joined the program after classes started and redshirted the season.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played his 2003 senior season in 8-man football at Valley High School (now closed) in Bakersfield, Calif. … Named All-CIF and all-league … Named to a pair of 8-man all-star games, rushing for over 100 yards and 2 TDs in one game … During the regular season, rushed for over 360 yards and scored 7 TDs in a victory over Bakersfield Christian High … Sat out his 2002 junior season after transferring to Valley … Served as the team mascot … Played 2 seasons of junior varsity football at South High in Bakersfield … Also competed in track & field (sprints, throws) as a freshman and sophomore at South High.

PERSONAL: Born June 25, 1986, in Asuncion, Paraguay, to Eong and Chung Kim … Has a brother (Joseph) and 2 sisters (Ester, Hannah) … Majoring in business and want to eventually pursue an MBA ... Plays the trumpet, guitar, drums and piano.
