THIS YEAR: An impressive player, Andrew Leasau is set to take to the field after redshirting last year … At the outset, figures in a reserve role but should see time in the Cougars’ 4-man front.

2007: Redshirted his first season at Azusa Pacific.

JUNIOR COLLGE: Played 2 seasons for head coach Reggie Bolton at Santa Barbara (Calif.) City College … Was a linebacker for the Vaqueros, who posted a combined record of 7-13 during Leasau’ time.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played 2 seasons of football (linebacker) and volleyball (setter) at Bonita Vista High in San Diego from where he graduated in 2005.

PERSONAL: Born June 11, 1987, in San Diego … Parents are Bismark (hotel manager) and Tan (accountant) Leasau … Has 3 brothers (Aaron, John, Samson) and 2 sisters (Charity, Chelsea) … Majoring in exercise and sport science with a minor in music.
