2007: Redshirted his first season at Azusa Pacific while attending classes and working out with the team.

HIGH SCHOOL: Was a 2-time All-Olympic League first team pick during his 3-year varsity career at Valley Christian High in Cerritos, Calif. ... Was a standout receiver, defensive back and kick returner ... As a 2006 senior, named All-CIF first team, Long Beach Press-Telegram Dream Team and team MVP after tallying team highs of 42 receptions for 605 yards and 15 TDs ... Also had 82 tackles and 3 interceptions ... Set the school record for touchdown receptions in a game (4) and career (21) ... As a 2005 junior, led the Crusaders to a 10-2 record and the CIF quarterfinals ... Also lettered in baseball and basketball, twice earning all-league first team and all-area recognition in baseball ... Named team defensive MVP in basketball ... In 2007 named to the National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame for his outstanding athletic performance, academic achievement and school leadership ... Was a member of the student council and honor society.
