THIS YEAR: Leader of the Cougar offensive line, junior Ben Winslow is technically a terrific blocker both in the run and passing games … Smart about the game and understands the Cougar scheme quite well ... Is the lone returning starter along the Cougar offensive line ... Should see some time at center for the first time in his collegiate career ... Has appeared in 20 consecutive games and made 12 straight starts.

2006: Started all 10 games at right tackle during his 2006 sophomore season.

2005: Made his first gridiron appearance as a Cougar, appearing in all 10 games during his 2005 redshirt freshman season, starting the final 3 of the campaign.

2004: Redshirted the season while attending classes at Azusa Pacific.

HIGH SCHOOL: Was a 3-year starter for head coach Aaron Duff at Greenville (Ill.) High … Was a 2-time All-South Central East Conference honoree as both an offensive and defensive lineman (only player in school history to be so honored) … Was also a 2-time all-area pick … As a 2003 senior, named all-state first team … Was second on the team with 87 tackles (game-best 13 twice) while putting together an 84% blocking rate on offense … Led the Comets to a combined 13-7 record over his final 2 seasons, which included a 2003 Illinois state playoff game … Also lettered 2 years in basketball (center).

PERSONAL: Born Feb. 3, 1986, in Seattle, Wash., to Dale (pastor) and Karen (religion professor at Azusa Pacific) Winslow … Has 1 brother (Luke) and a sister (Karmelle) … His brother Luke holds numerous Azusa Pacific career passing records … Majoring in social science ... Served as FCA president at his high school … Has made a mission trip to Paraguay … Enjoys hunting, fishing and wave running.
