High School: Played three years of varsity football under John Barnes at Los Alamitos High School... Was team captain for one year... In his two year of varsity experience, helped the team earn a combined overall record of 14-7 overall and 7-3 in the Sunset League... As a junior, was named the Most Valuable Defensive Back... Was selected to second team all-Sunset League with 67 tackles and three interceptions... As a senior, was selection to first team all-league and all-county... Was named team MVP... Tallied 142 tackles, one interception, five sacks, and five forced fumbles... Ranked 12th in state for tackles.
